Do as I say, not as I do!

Well, we just had the Democratic Convention last week. Now, at the time, there was all kinds of predictions about Hurricane Gustav was going to hit the Gulf Coast. I don't recall much of anything being said in regards to that at the Democratic Convention. Granted, I didn't watch every second, so, if something was there, I apologize in advance, and not giving the Democrats credit if it's due. That's fair. However, as the Republican National Convention is coming up, Presidential Nominee McCain (whom I really do not like for a candidate), is "curtailing" the convention. He does not seem to think it's right to be "partying" while there are those who either are, or will be, suffering. I think this is appropriate. They are cutting back on many elements of the convention. My only question is, why did the Democrats not do this during their convention? They seemed to have no problem with "partying" while the storm was coming and people were preparing for it. Are the Democrats not the ones saying that they really care about othes? About the suffering of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina folks?

I just find it interesting that they can critique the Republicans for things and detail about how what they do, and didn't do in 2005 Hurricane Katrina, was so horrible and Kanye West professing to America that "George Bush doesn't like black people", yet, the Democrats in their convention seemed to have no problem celebrating when people were beginning to prepare for the worst. I'm still waiting for the pathetic Kanye West to apologize to President Bush regarding his ridiculous remark. Perhaps we could say the same thing about the Democrats now; they don't care about the former victims of Hurricane Katrina as evident in their celebratory festivities while others were preparing for Hurricane Gustav.

At least the Republicans are seeing that celebrating while others are suffering looks bad, and would be in bad taste. Too bad the Democrats didn't see that. Clearly a case of "do as I say, not as I do." If that's the change Obama was talking about, doesn't look like much of a change to me. Let's party while others are suffering. But then again, not doing anything is pretty trade mark for Democrats in disasters, isn't it? Let's not forget, the Governor of Louisiana at the time was a Democrat. She was pretty worthless in preparing for that disaster. Let's not forget Mayor Nagin. He was the most worthless of all, also a Democrat. Both the mayor and governor KNEW the hurricane was coming, neither prepared to the extent they should have, and yet, President Bush received the harshest criticism!

Do as I say, not as a do. That should be the new moto for the Democratic Party. Get ride of the donkey, replace it with a middle finger I think. Yeah, that's pretty much what the Democratic National Convention did while others were preparing for Hurricane Gustav. They didn't have time to spare, they were celebrating too much. Once again, the Republicans taking higher ground, and do they get credit for it, and the Democrats get critiqued for their actions? NO!
