Not Socialism eh?
So, Obama has recently stated he doesn't want to run GM, he has no intention of running a car company, nor does the government have the time for that. Really? No interest in that at all, eh? So, is that why the government demanded that in order to receive federal funding, Rick Wagoner had to step down as CEO a month or more back? Is that why the government told GM, in your restructuring plan, you need to have small, fuel efficient cars? Basically, telling the car companies what kinds of cars they are to build. Shouldn't that be the decision of the company. Granted, they do need to make more strides towards fuel efficiency, but, if there is still a demand for those big (and according to the basic laws of physics, safer) cars/SUV/Trucks, why can't they be built? Realistically, will all production of them stop? No. But still, you, as the government, is telling them to stop building those kinds of cars. No excuse for that. Then again, they did agree to take money from the government. Apparently, if you make a deal with the Devil, you really DO get screwed. Am I comparing Obama to the Devil? No. I'm comparing the government to the Devil. However, since Demoncrats had no problem comparing President Bush to the Nazis, Hitler himself, and other horrible things......maybe I shouldn't have a problem with it either.
Now, we have the Chrysler Corp. The Government is making demands on them. And now, they are going into bankrupcy. About 70% of their creditors have agreed with the bankrupcy plan. About 30% disagree with it. And Obama has the balls to state that because this 30% is holding up the whole deal, that they actually expect to receive their money, "that's un-American!" Really? Well, using that logic, I guess none of the car companies have to pay the tax payers back then, huh? They can just tell the to piss off, we're not paying you back, that would be un-American! Now, we're hearing stories that government officials involved with the auto bailouts were threatening Chrysler to get them to give in. Really? You mean people that essentially fall under Obama's authority were acting inappropriately? So Obama, are you going to dodge responsibility for that too? I mean, crap! You don't take responsibility for anything else you do. More jobs being lost, more debt, rogue nations growing a bigger set of balls, all under your administration. And yet, you're not responsible. Nor are the Demoncrats in Congress mind you. Even though Demoncrats control the Majority.
And now, David "I'm a traitor" Souter is stepping down from the U.S. Supreme Court. Obama desparately wants to have a Hispanic on the court so he can brag about his appointing the first. However, President Bush beat you to the punch. He appointed the first Hispanic to the 2nd U.S. District Court of Appeals-laregely a stepping stone to the U.S. Supreme Court, but, you Demoncrats wouldn't allow the nomination to go through. Something for which the Republicans were too stupid to play the race card for! The Demoncrats cites lack of experience, they didn't like some of the things he wrote and such. Really, well, that didn't seem to stop a lot of nominations going through for Obama's nominations to his cabinet. Other U.S. Supreme Court Nominations (Roberts and Alito) were met with "they're out of the mainstream". So, it will be interesting to see what Obama considers "mainstream." Unfortunately, with the Traitor Arlen Spector switching sides just so he can get elected, which he freely admits, but decorates it with "I found it more difficult to get elected as a Republic" (I'm paraphrasing what he said here), and the cheat Al Franken trying to steal the Minnesota Senatorial Election (only wanting to count votes for him in the re-counts and then counting them a couple times), this will eliminate any fillibustering. So America, hold onto your socks! You wanted change, you go it!
